The Manor buildings are cubical two-storied stone constructions with axisymmetrical rooms, high socles and hipped roofs. All of them have the first storey as the piano nobile, not the second one, as it became customary for manors constructed later. The main building has a so-called free staircase; the vestibule is placed at the central axis, whereas the hall has been shifted one step backwards. At least two more manors were built following the same principal plan in the 17th century in Estonia – the Aa manor and the Palmse manor.
